Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 24, 2026

Overview

CalcProLabs (“CalcProLabs”, “we”, “our”, “us”) operates this website and provides free online calculators with professional-grade interpretation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit, how we use it, who it's shared with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to every page under our domain.

The short version

  • No account required. You can use every calculator without signing up.
  • Calculations stay in your browser. The math runs locally — inputs and results never reach our servers unless you explicitly submit a lead form or newsletter signup.
  • We use third-party advertising. Google AdSense and our affiliate partners may use cookies for ad personalization and conversion attribution.
  • We never sell your personal data. When affiliate or lead-gen partners receive your info (only on explicit submission), they do so under their own privacy policies — and you're told before you submit.
  • You have rights. EU/UK residents can exercise GDPR rights; California residents can exercise CCPA/CPRA rights. Email [email protected] to invoke any of them.

Information we collect

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages accessed, timestamps, and approximate geographic location (city-level).
  • Analytics events: page views, calculator usage, button clicks, search terms entered into our on-site search — collected via Google Analytics or an equivalent privacy-respecting analytics tool.
  • Advertising cookies: set by Google AdSense and our affiliate partners. These cookies are used to measure ad performance and (where you have consented) personalize the ads you see.
  • Device information: screen size, device type (mobile/desktop), language preferences, anonymized device identifiers.

Information you provide

  • Newsletter signups — your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter via the footer form or in-page widget.
  • Lead-capture forms — on a small number of calculator pages (e.g. Workers' Comp, Medicare), you may optionally submit your name, email, phone, state, and a short description of your situation in exchange for a free consultation or quote from a vetted partner. These fields are only collected on explicit submission and are clearly labeled at the point of collection.
  • Saved calculations — if you use the “save calculation” feature on certain calculators, the inputs and results are stored. Currently this storage is browser-local (in your device's localStorage); a future opt-in feature may sync saved calculations to a server-side account if you create one.
  • Contact submissions — any information you provide when emailing us (subject line, body content, attachments).

How we use information

We use the information collected to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website and our calculator interpretation engine.
  • Serve relevant advertising via Google AdSense and measure ad performance.
  • Send newsletter content to subscribers who have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter email).
  • Forward lead-form submissions to the specifically-named partner you requested information from.
  • Respond to your support, partnership, press, or legal inquiries.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with applicable laws and respond to legal process.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies (web beacons, local storage, session tokens) to operate the site, measure usage, and serve advertising. Cookie categories on this site:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to function (e.g. remembering your theme preference, recent search). Cannot be disabled without breaking site functionality.
  • Analytics: anonymized usage measurement (Google Analytics 4 or equivalent). You can opt out via your browser's “Do Not Track” setting or browser-specific cookie controls.
  • Advertising: set by Google AdSense and our affiliate networks for ad measurement and personalization. See the next section for details.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may break some features (saved calculations, “remember me” preferences) but the calculators themselves will still work.

Third-party advertisers

Google AdSense. We display advertisements served by Google. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Affiliate networks. We participate in affiliate programs (Impact, CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, and direct programs with select brands). These networks may set tracking cookies to attribute referrals. They do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what their cookie systems track for attribution.

Analytics providers. We may use Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or similar privacy-respecting analytics tools. These services collect aggregate usage statistics; we configure them to anonymize IP addresses where possible.

Sharing and disclosure

We share information only in the following limited cases:

  • With your consent — when you explicitly submit a lead form requesting information from a named partner, we forward your submission to that partner.
  • Service providers — third-party vendors who process data on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing) under contractual privacy obligations.
  • Legal compliance — when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CalcProLabs, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred subject to this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include HTTPS encryption in transit, secure storage practices, and access controls.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. Use the site with the same prudence you'd apply to any online service.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / CPRA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion / erasure — request deletion of your personal information.
  • Portability — receive your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out of sale/sharing — under CCPA/CPRA, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. (We do not sell, but the opt-out is still available.)
  • Object to processing — object to certain processing activities (e.g. direct marketing).
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for any processing based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint — file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request” and a description of your request. We will respond within 30 days (45 for complex requests). We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

Children's privacy

CalcProLabs is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

Data retention

  • Server logs: retained 90 days for security and debugging.
  • Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics defaults (14 months by default; configurable).
  • Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Lead-form submissions: retained 24 months for partner referral attribution and any follow-up.
  • Saved calculations: stored in your browser's localStorage; persisted on your device until you clear browser data.

International data transfers

CalcProLabs is operated from the United States. By using the site, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. For EU/UK users, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the site evolves or as required by changes in applicable law. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page with an updated “Effective date”. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
